Though Fishing is a resource for people living and working in South Korea, especially as English teachers.

  • The first goal of the site is to serve as a resource for Korean language learners like the author. See the Learn Korean page for more on the Korean language.
  • The second goal is to act as a hub of information and pooled experiences of English teachers in South Korea. For instance, see the Rate Your Hagwon page for info from other English teachers about their work places.
  • Lastly, this site serves as a general repository for reflections (and occasionally rants) in life in Korea.

One response to “About

  1. I lived in Korea for a too-short 3 months while I was doing my student teaching. While I was there, I was so busy with my studies that I didn’t have a lot of time to practice my Korean… Since I’ve got back to the US, I’ve been practicing my Korean a lot–I’m still not very good but I’m learning. I was so excited when I found this website; it seems like a great resource for some of the semantics and grammar problems I’ve been struggling with. Whomever you are who started this website, I thank you sincerely.
